It's now February 2016 and I finally feel I can sit down and have a normal conversation. Besides being a writer, I have a full time work as a postie. As much as I love my job, and I really, really do... December is a rough month for all of us. Extra mail and PLENTY of packages drains you. Mind you, this isn't a complaint, because in the middle of all the hectic deliveries there are amazing moments. Like when a little five year old girl looks at my Santa hat and asks me if I'm from Greenland. If I'm helping Santa delivering things. When the elderly woman receives a surprise package from her family from the other side of the country, or when the last minute Christmas present arrives the day before. It always brings a smile to my face, and to be honest, there's nothing like the feeling when you look at the empty car at the end of your route. Especially when it was packed in the morning. So what are my goals for 2016? Well... Maybe not goals as such, but maybe it should be - What do I have in store for you in 2016? My Tales of a Keeper #3 is almost ready. It even have a title now - Keeper's Fight. Mariana will be working on the cover soon and after my final read through, it will be turned over to my wonderful editor - Elizabeth. Keeper's Fight is the longest in the series so far. Just over 16k right now. My Tales of a Keeper are short stories and will always be. Most of February and a part of January I have been editing a story I started writing a long time ago. I can tell my writing have improved much since I began working on it, which is a good thing. Although it's a pain in the ass now that I'm editing it. *grins* If you remember my first short story ever published (The Beginning) this is the full length continuation of it. Yes, I'm working VERY closely with Jazz, Sam and Nathaniel right now. Ohhh, that's right... You haven't met Nathaniel yet. Or Cae, my magnificent dragon. Anyhow.... As soon as I know more about release date and such, I'll keep you all posted. ;-) I'm also working on an entire new series - the first short is ready to be released. I'm keeping it close to me right now, waiting a bit. I have another full length story to get off my mind before letting that baby out in the wild. Before heading off to my editing, I wanted to share two absolutely amazing new releases by some friends of mine. First there's Blood of Shadows by Mariana Thorn. It's an amazing story about three Kingdoms and their Fates as war looms over them. Princess Malayna is a Shadow, an elite warrior and she takes her job serious. Especially when it comes to protecting the innocent. Blood of Shadows is filled with action and the special humor that only can be described as belonging to Mariana. I love it and absolutely adore Mariana's writing style. Trust me, I have cursed at her many, many times. She still just laughs at me. ;-) Anyway, you can find it on Amazon - and all her other series. Trust me, it's worth it. The other book I wanted to mention to you is the second book in Games of Hearts Series by Sonya Loveday and Candace Knoebel; Runaway Heart.
Another two amazing authors and I feel lucky to call them my friends. I loved the first book (Love Always) and it left me absolutely heartbroken - smiling. I'm hoping to dig into the second one this weekend. You can find it here on Amazon. Hope 2016 is treating you good, and I'll chat with you all later!! *huggles*
